Wash & Process Water

Ray® can treat water used to wash fruit, vegetables and other agricultural commodities to remove residual pesticides and reduce the biologic load in the rinse water.

Wash & Pre-pick Sterilization - FSMA Compliance

Ray® can provide E. coli free water to cool fruit prior to picking, water trees close to harvest and wash agricultural implements to help producers comply with the Food Safety Modernization Act set forth by the FDA.

Pesticides & Herbicides

81% Reduction in malathion concentrations in runoff water. Along with BOD reduction, allows for safer reuse of recovered irrigation and wash water.

Removal of Harmful Compounds

Treatment of dairy waste with Ray® results in conversion of urea to ammonia, reduction of Chemical & Bioloigical Oxygen Demanding compounds, organic loads, and removal of pathogens. 

Sterilization

The Ray® average operating temperature of 170° F and the ability for a 6-minute fluid retention time with adjusted flow provides a higher than 95% kill rate of E. coli.

UV through Ray’s® lens also targets bacteria at the RNA level to neutralize other harmful pathogens.

Ammonia Depletion

Ray® enables and accelerates the degradation of ammonia and the movement towards free nitrogen.  Tests have shown a reduction of 40% to 50% and could reduce the total solubilized ammonia from 47 to 6 or 7% of the total effluent.
